BIOGRAPHY

Molly Soo is a First Class Music graduate of Bath Spa University. During her studies, she was chosen for a series of masterclasses with renowned artists, including celebrated early music soprano, Dame Emma Kirkby. Molly later reached the Quarter Finals of the International Handel Singing Competition at Craxton Studio's, London.

Past operatic roles include the Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Lillian in Kurt Weill’s Happy End, Carmen in Bizet’s Carmen, Virtue in Handel’s The Choice of Hercules, and Luna in Richard Mainwaring’s Vivaldi – The Four Seasons: The Opera. She has also appeared with Iford Arts Opera in their production of Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci at Belcombe Court. Upcoming concerts include Voces Amici's The Joy of Life and the Joy of Love Concert in Wells and Mozart's Litaniae Lauretanae KV 195 in London. 

Molly also recently participated in the 2025 Concert Singers’ Symposium, where she had the opportunity to work with Roderick Williams and David Hill at The National Opera Studio, London.

Molly is in high demand as a concert soloist and performs widely across the UK. Recent highlights include Handel’s Messiah at Malmesbury Abbey, the world premiere of a new arrangement of O Tannenbaum by Francis Faux at Bath Abbey, the world premiere of Vivaldi – The Four Seasons: The Opera, by Richard Mainwaring and Handel’s the Choice of Hercules in South Somerset, Mozart's Missa Brevis & Pergolesi's Magnificat in Glastonbury, Bach's Christmas Oratorio in Wells and Mozart's Requiem in Cheltenham. She is also a regular soloist for the Bath Recitals series.

In addition to her solo work, Molly is a member of Noctis Chamber Choir, one of Bath’s leading vocal ensembles, and is one half of ‘Voces Amici’, a classical duo giving regular performances across the South West, with repertoire ranging from Tallis, Handel, Beethoven and Fauré to light opera. She also recently featured on Jonathan Delbridge’s CD - The Story of the Square Piano, performing works by composers including Pinto and Mozart.
